Our powerful and moving Yom HaShoah service will feature a presentation (online) by Gabriella Major. Ms. Major was born in Debrecen, Hungary during World War II. She was deported with her mother and grandmother by cattle cars to a concentration camp near Vienna after many months of living in a ghetto. Eventually, the Russians liberated her family. After reuniting with her father, the family lived in Hungary under Russian occupation. In 1956, the Hungarian Revolution broke out, and the family immigrated to the United States in 1957.
