What do you want to be when you grow up? That’s not a common question for boys attending Hasidic yeshivas because many of these schools focus on Judaic studies, preparing students for a life of Talmudic study at the expense of basic reading, writing, math and science. Beatrice Weber, a former member of the Hasidic community joins us to share her personal story and pursuit of educational reform to provide her children with one of the most basic rights, that of an education.
Join us for our Kabbalat Shabbat service at 6:15pm, dinner at 7:15pm, and program at 8:00pm. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, we will be offering a kosher meal of corned beef and stuffed cabbage, compliments of Ben’s Deli.
Dinner is $18/members and $25/non-members. Program is free and open to the community.
