Beth El Synagogue – Request for Forgiveness & Gift of Change Dialogue Workshop

When

September 18, 2022
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Event Type

During the High Holy days, we acknowledge the ways we fell short during the previous year by asking for forgiveness from those we hurt. This workshop will teach us how to do this in a safe way.

We will learn key concepts about effective communication that stem from both Jewish and relational skills perspectives. We will have the opportunity to practice these new skills in private Zoom rooms. We can practice with someone in our home, someone we know joining from another computer, or we can be paired with another workshop attendee. This will be co-led by David Rudnick, past president of Congregation Rodef Shalom, and Rabbi Zach Sitkin.

David Rudnick is the past president of Congregation Rodef Shalom in San Rafael, CA. Last year, he teamed with Drs. Harville Hendrix and Helen Hunt to create a program for his congregation on how to ask for forgiveness of others they may have hurt in some way in preparation for Yom Kippur.
