LPJC is sponsoring a Yom Hashoa Holocaust Commemoration on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 7pm with a candle lighting ceremony and talks by Holocaust survivors and children of Holocaust parents. There will also be a film presentation of former Israel Prime Minister Menachim Begin titled ‘Upheavel , the Journey of Menachim Begin’. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano , Westchester County Executive George Latimer, NY State Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins, and Westchester Legislator David Tubiolo will be invited to participate in the proceedings. Snacks and Refreshments will be provided. There is no fee for the program but donations to LPJC will be accepted. If you have any family or friends that personally experienced the Holocaust they are welcome to give their insights and experiences.
