The Rabbis of late antiquity loved to riff off the Bible. The Rabbis were often less concerned ending Scripture’s original intent than in using it as a springboard for their own ideas and stories. The art of doing this was called midrash. In this workshop we will explore ancient midrashim, and then apply midrashic storytelling to a chapter of our own life as a way of seeing it with new eyes.
