Judy Batalion, acclaimed author of the groundbreaking book The Light of Days: The Untold Story of Women Resistance Fighters in Hitler’s Ghettos, will speak at WJC on Sunday, April 24, at 10:00am. Come hear about the brave young women who defied the Nazis and aided fellow Jews: how they smuggled guns in loaves of bread and coded intelligence messages in their braids and find out why their story has been unknown until now. Judy Batalion is a gifted and dynamic speaker; join us for breakfast and an engaging and inspiring program. Books will be available for sale. The event is presented by WJC’s Holocaust Learning Center on the occasion of Yom HaShoah.
