Shaarei Tikvah is proud to host the Scarsdale-Hartsdale Interfaith Group gathering and day of service for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, on Monday January 16th from 3:00-5:30. At 3:00, families are invited to participate in a service project where we will be packing “snow day” boxes for the Coachman Center, cooking for the Mt. Vernon CSA, and making soup-in-a-jar for the Bronx Community Center. At 4:00, participants can join us for an ecumenical interfaith service, and at 4:45, a special teen program focused on the “Legacy of Dr. King.” Participating houses of worship include Shaarei Tikvah, Scarsdale Synagogue-Tremont Temple and Emanuel, Westchester Reform Temple, Calvary Baptist Church, The Hitchcock Presbyterian Church, and Scarsdale Congregational Church. Registration is open to all!
