Stephen Greenblatt is the Cogan University Professor of the Humanities at Harvard University, General Editor of The Norton Shakespeare, and one of the world’s leading Shakespeare scholars. He is the author of numerous influential books, including The Swerve, Will in the World, and Shakespeare’s Freedom, and is a founding co-editor of the journal Representations. A former president of the Modern Language Association, Greenblatt has received many prestigious honors and fellowships recognizing his groundbreaking scholarship, teaching, and contributions
to the humanities.
