Monday, August 15, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PMFrom a cotton plantation just south of Natchitoches, Louisiana, all the way north into Canada, “Through Darkness to Light: Photographs Along the Underground Railroad (2002 – 2016)” envisions the long road to freedom as seen through the eyes of one freedom seeker making this epic journey, circa 1840. Jeanine Michna-Bales will show images from the series and discuss the creative process that was behind the making of the project including the extensive research.
