An Afternoon with Eleanor Reissa
(VIRTUAL)
Wednesday, February 15, 1:30 PM – 3:00 PMIn 1986, Eleanor Reissa found a packet of letters written in German among her mother’s belongings. Those letters would lead to startling discoveries about her late parents and their experience during the Holocaust—and about her own life. Reissa, an award-winning actor, singer, songwriter, choreographer, translator and director, has written The Letters Project, an extraordinary memoir of beauty, urgency, heartbreak and, somehow, humor. This event is part of DOROT’s Bookmarks conversation series, led by award-winning journalist and author Sandee Brawarsky.
