We welcome Rabbi Aviva Richman to the Open Beit Midrash as our first lecturer in this year’s scholar series. Rabbi Richman will guide us through a beautiful rereading of a poem about the nature of God’s Divine Sovereignty.

Rabbi Aviva Richman is a Rosh Yeshiva at Hadar, and has been on Hadar’s faculty since 2010. A graduate of Oberlin College, she studied in the Pardes Kollel and the Drisha Scholars’ Circle and was ordained by Rabbi Danny Landes. She completed a doctorate in Talmud at NYU. Some of Rabbi Richman’s interests include: Talmud, Halakhah, Midrash and gender, and also a healthy dose of niggunim (wordless melodies).

The Open Beit Midrash Scholar Series is funded by The Yvette and Herman Gordon Century Fund for Adult Teaching and Learning. Please consider making a contribution to this fund to enhance Beth El’s adult education here (when selecting the fund, please select The Yvette and Herman Gordon Century Fund for Adult Teaching and Learning).
