The evening will feature a special raise-the-rafters musical Hallel (with full band) as well as a world premier performance of a new song celebrating Yom Ha’atzmaut by Daphna Rosenberg and Yoel Sykes, from the renowned Israeli community, Nava Tehila. Daphna has said this is to be her final tour, ever, so this is a particularly special opportunity. We will also enjoy delicious Israeli food and a concert by Daphna and Yoel. The event is free of charge.
The mission of Shoresh Halev is to enliven our synagogue community and the larger Westchester Jewish community by fostering Jewish music for all ages and to contribute to the current renaissance of new Jewish music nationally and internationally. Many programs will be geared for the wider area, including grant opportunities for new Jewish music, a children’s choir, a variety of learning opportunities in Jewish music, and of course wonderful concerts such as this.
