This past year our hearts have swelled at the massive global effort to evacuate and find safe homes for Afghans fleeing for their lives, and they have broken seeing people whose lives are in danger being turned away at border crossings around the world. This is a critical moment for all of us to reaffirm and redouble our support for refugees and asylum seekers.
Join Congregation Kol Ami in conjunction with HIAS and the Westchester Jewish Coalition for Immigration as we celebrate Refugee Shabbat with music, reflection and prayer. Following services, we will be offering a Zoom program where we’ll meet Khalid, an Afghan man and Achta, a woman from the Congo, who will share with us their stories of seeking refuge in the United States.
JOIN US ON MARCH 4 ~ in person at 6:15PM in the Kol Ami Main Sanctuary and on Zoom at 8:00PM
