There has been a growing awareness across the fields of science, psychology and spirituality that trauma does not just impact an individual, but that collective trauma can cause harm to communities and can have lasting effects through generations. Rabbi Jessica Rosenberg, a recent graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, has pioneered work to support the Jewish community in creating trauma- informed practices to help us grapple with our own intergenerational trauma. Our Rabbinic Leader Solomon has had an opportunity to take workshops with her, and will present a variety of perspectives and resources that can help us understand the impact of trauma for the Jewish community. We will explore how these themes may show up in our own lives and family narratives.
