SUMMARY:JCCMW - Unbroken: In Remembrance of Kristallnacht
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special screening of Unbroken in commemoration 
 of Kristallnacht\, the “Night of Broken Glass\,” a pivotal moment in h
 istory that marked the escalation of Nazi persecution against Jews in 1938
 .\n\nUnbroken\, directed by Beth Lane\, chronicles the seven Weber siblin
 gs who evaded capture and death\, and ultimately escaped Nazi Germany foll
 owing their mother’s incarceration and murder at Auschwitz. The film tel
 ls a powerful true story of resilience\, survival\, and the enduring stren
 gth of the human spirit in the face of unthinkable adversity. Through deep
 ly personal accounts and historical reflection\, the film offers a moving 
 tribute to those who lived through the Holocaust.\n\nFollowing the screeni
 ng\, we will have a talkback with director Beth Lane\, who will share ins
 ights into the making of the film\, her grandmother’s family history tha
 t inspired it\, and the importance of remembering the past to shape a more
  compassionate future.\n\nBeth will be in conversation with Marla Felton
  and Sue Spiegel\, the founders of Common Circles. Common Circles is ded
 icated to making a difference in our world by creating research-based inte
 ractive experiences that combine techniques from psychology with cutting-e
 dge technology\, the arts\, and storytelling to improve intergroup relatio
 ns\, increase empathy\, reduce antisemitism and bias\, and encourage chang
