 less tale of Purim\, intricately woven with themes of courage\, resilience
 \, and the challenges faced by today’s youth.\n\nThrough the graceful ar
 t of dance\, we delve into the lives of Queens Vashti and Esther. Set agai
 nst the backdrop of a kingdom in turmoil\, their stories unfold\, showcasi
 ng their unwavering bravery and resilience in the face of adversity.\n\nIn
  this innovative retelling\, we draw parallels between the struggles of Va
 shti and Esther and the modern-day challenges encountered by children\, pa
 rticularly the pervasive issue of bullying. As the ballet unfolds\, audien
 ces are invited to reflect on the profound impact of bullying on young liv
 es and the importance of standing up against injustice.\n\nThe Once and Fu
 ture Queen is choreographed by Ho-Shia Thao\, Marika Brussel\, and Jessic
 a Whitehorne for the Dance School of JCC Mid-Westchester with original mus
 ic by Mahlon Berv. Performed by students from JCCMW’s youth and adult di
 visions with professional dancers from Hudson Ballet Theatre.\n\n\n\n\n\n\
