DESCRIPTION:GHC welcomes Isaac Zablocki\, Senior Director of Film Programs 
 at the Marlene Meyerson JCC in Manhattan\, to our community on Saturday\, 
 March 1. Isaac will speak after morning services and lunch.\n\nAt 7:30 pm 
 please join us for a very special screening of one of Israel's leading fi
 lmmakers and a key representative of Israel's new generation of filmmakers
 .  Enjoy a feature film followed by conversation and reflection. Isaac ha
 s incredible experience and knowledge of the Israel film industry.* Light

 k HERE .\n\n* More about our special guest: Isaac Zablocki is the Sen
 ior Director of Film Programs at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan with a
  rich background in multiple aspects of the film industry. Born in NY\, I
 saac grew up in Israel and served in the IDF's leading film unit as an ed
 ucational film producer.  After graduating from Columbia University's 
 film school\, he worked at Miramax Films and later produced and directed f
 eature films while also developing educational programs for the Department
  of Education. He has been instrumental in shaping the film landscape at J
 CC Manhattan\, including the establishment of the Israel Film Center and
  the annual programming of several film festivals such as the Other Isra
 el Film Festival\, which highlights the stories of Arab and underrepresen
 ted populations in Israel\, and the ReelAbilities Film Festival\, the lar
 gest festival in the world showcasing films by and about people with disab
 ilities. Isaac has developed the largest online database of Israeli film
 s as well as Israel Film Center Stream\, the leading site for streaming Is
 raeli films. He is the leading presenter of Israeli films in the US and le
 ctures internationally on the power of film and writes for a variety of pu
 blications.
