Film:  In Search of Israeli Cuisine
October 26, 1:00 P.M. at Scarsdale Synagogue
Search of Israeli Cuisine is a portrait of the Israeli people told through food putting a literal face on the culture of Israel.  The movie takes an unusual tour of Israel, one that’s not organized around politics or biblical sites. Instead, you meet ordinary people and food professionals who live and work in a country that is an ethnic hodgepodge. Influences on Israeli food come from Arab cultures, Eastern Europe, and the Mediterranean, as well as from more personal authorities: a mother’s or grandmother’s kitchen. A la Anthony Bourdain, chef Michael Solomonov takes us on a delicious and enjoyable journey as a rich, complex and human story emerges.

Cost is $12 per person and checks may be made out to Women of SSTTE and paid at the door.  Refreshments will be served.  Everyone is welcome!  RSVP HERE
