 m Bronx sandlots of the 1930s to the Paris Olympics of 1924 and on to a pr
 estigious prep school in 1950s New England\, our thirty-seventh annual fil
 m series will present a delightful Dinner-Theatre throughout the month of 
 May. Opening night\, May 7th\, will feature The Life and Times of Hank Gre
 enberg\, a marvelous portrait of the baseball world and American life of t
 he era. The following Thursday evening\, May 14th\, we will be treated to 
 the Best Picture Oscar winner\, Chariots of Fire\; an exhilarating picture
  of championship-level track and field. School Ties\, the May 28th clean-u
 p hitter\, to mix a metaphor\, will take us to the ultra-competitive world
  of high school football.\nEach self-contained session begins with a delic
 ious delicatessen buffet (for those willing to switch from the succulent m
 atzos they've been eating). The evening continues with a formal introducto
 ry lecture\, a complete screening of the film\, and highly stimulating men
 tored group discussion. These are the ingredients that have won the Festiv
 al a METNY award for Adult Programming. Both aficionados of the series and
  newcomers are warmly welcomed and made to feel completely at home.\nGuest
  lecturer\, Azriel Fellner\, will return for his thirtieth year. Riveting 
 speaker\, dynamic teacher\, and master of Jewish text\, Rabbi Fellner will
  once again share with us his fascination with contemporary Jewish-America
 n culture and his particular love of film. Also lecturing will be the Fest
 ival's founding chairwoman\, Elaine Katz. Elaine honed her analytic skills
  far above Cayuga's waters as a Cornell National Scholar. She also played 
 a wicked first base for the illustrious Camp Tioga Gold Team of 1950. —E
