SUMMARY:Beth El Synagogue - Pride Shabbat
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Pride Shabbat on Saturday morning and afternoon. 
 Laynie Soloman\, an award winning educator and Associate Rosh Yeshiva at
 Svara\, "a traditionally radical yeshiva"\, is our guest speaker.  During
 Shabbat morning services\, they will share a D'var Torah entitled "Teaching
 G!d Our Torah".  After services\, there will be a Kiddush luncheon\, with
 an opportunity to speak informally with Laynie. At 1:00\, they will then be
 teaching a shiur (lesson) entitled "Lev Yodeah Marat Nafsho (The Heart
 Knows Itself): Trans Identify and Self-determination in Halakha."  All are
 welcome for all or part of the event.  No registration required.
