SUMMARY:Beth El Synagogue - Pride Shabbat
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Pride Shabbat on Saturday morning and afternoon.  
 Laynie Soloman\, an award winning educator and Associate Rosh Yeshiva at S
 vara\, "a traditionally radical yeshiva"\, is our guest speaker.  During 
 Shabbat morning services\, they will share a D'var Torah entitled "Teachin
 g G!d Our Torah".  After services\, there will be a Kiddush luncheon\, wi
 th an opportunity to speak informally with Laynie. At 1:00\, they will the
 n be teaching a shiur (lesson) entitled "Lev Yodeah Marat Nafsho (The Hear
 t Knows Itself): Trans Identify and Self-determination in Halakha."  All 
 are welcome for all or part of the event.  No registration required.
