SUMMARY:Beth El Synagogue Center - Haftam Yizhak Heathwood in honor of the
 Ethiopian Jewish holiday of Sigd
DESCRIPTION:The program is sponsored by the Keruv Inclusion committee and
 is open to all.\n\nHaftam Yizhak Heathwood is the Coordinator for the New
 York Jews of Color Cohort at the Wexner Foundation. She was born in
 Ethiopia and at the age of 3\, her family fled their village for Israel
 where they settled in Beit She’an. After serving 2 years in the Israeli
 Defense Forces\, she moved to New York City in 2011. In 2017\, she became
 involved with JWFNY\, where she served as co-chair of the Diversity\,
 Equity\, and Justice Task Force. She recently finished a fellowship with
 the Jews of Color Initiative and is currently attending City
 College.\n\n&nbsp\;
